Deposition of Dale R. Minter
Case: Harlow v. Brightline Freight, Inc.
Case No.: No. 24-CV-03187
| Page:Line | Summary | Topic |
|---|---|---|
| 41:1–41:9 | Began his shift at about 4:30 a.m. on March 14, clocking in at the yard. Slept about four hours after a double shift the day before. Did not tell dispatch. | Start of shift and fatigue |
| 41:10–41:25 | Knew the handbook had a fatigue policy; signed for it but never read that section. Identified Exhibit 7 as his driver log. The 6:00 p.m. off-duty entry for March 13 is false; he was driving at 9:00. | Fatigue policy and the driver log |
| 42:1–42:14 | Night supervisor Ray Castillo told him what to enter in the log, sometimes by text. Believes the texts are still on his phone; has deleted nothing. | Instructions from dispatch |
A cite that doesn’t hold up never reaches you
AI models can write a confident sentence the testimony doesn’t support. So before a summary is delivered, every claim is compared with the exact lines it cites. Here is one that failed.
- Every claim checkedEach cite is compared with the exact lines it points to.
- Fixed, not hiddenAn entry that doesn't match is rewritten from the testimony or removed.
- Check it yourselfSelect any cite to see its lines highlighted beside the summary.
Witness admitted he ran the red light at Delmar. (42:23–42:25)
- 23Q.Was the light yellow or red?
- 24A.It was yellow when I saw it.
Witness says the light was yellow when he saw it and he could not stop in time. (42:23–42:25)
From transcript to summary
A 300-page deposition takes a few minutes, not the days a summary service needs. The work is the same kind a careful paralegal does: read the record, cite it and check it.
Upload the transcript and video
Text PDFs, scanned PDFs, plain .txt and E-Transcript files, with the deposition video if you have it. Scans are read with OCR.
We read its structure
Every page, line number, speaker, question, answer, objection and exhibit marking is mapped before anything is summarized.
The testimony is extracted
The transcript is read in sections of 20 to 40 pages, with page and line numbers kept alongside every passage.
The summaries are written
Page-line, narrative and topic summaries, plus admissions, contradictions, exhibits and objections.
Every cite is checked
Each cited range is pulled from the transcript and compared with the claim it supports. Claims that don't match are rewritten or removed.
You review and export
Read the summary beside the transcript, edit any entry, then download it as Word or PDF.
Your client’s testimony stays yours
The first question every firm asks is where the transcript goes. It goes to your firm’s encrypted storage and nowhere else.
- Encrypted everywhere
- AES-256 for stored files and TLS for everything in transit.
- Separate keys per firm
- Each firm's transcripts and summaries are encrypted with its own keys.
- Never used to train AI
- Testimony goes to AI providers only under zero-data-retention terms, and is never used to train a model.
- Single sign-on and two-step sign-in
- Use your firm's identity provider, or require a second step for every sign-in.
- A record of every access
- Audit logs show who opened, edited, shared or exported each transcript, and when.
- Deletion on your schedule
- Set how long transcripts are kept, or delete a matter's files yourself at any time.
- Stored in the United States
- Transcripts, video and summaries stay in US data centers.
- Tested from the outside
- Independent penetration testing before launch. A SOC 2 audit is planned; no report has been issued yet.
Works with how your firm already works
Summaries go where the case lives: to your team, your practice management system and your own tools.
- Share with your team
- Send co-counsel, experts or clients a read-only link to a summary and transcript, with or without your notes.
- Clio
- In development. Pick a transcript from a matter's documents; the Word summary is filed back to the matter, with an optional time entry.
- API
- In development. Send transcripts from your own systems and receive finished summaries automatically.
Bring a transcript you already know well and see whether we cite it the way you would.
